There is a relatively small selection but everything is fresh and while we have been there many times (you are talking 10 times+), we always enjoyed it and came back ! So forget the usual loud "politeness" you get in day to day places in town, and do take the time to remember you first and foremost came here to eat something different, that you want to come hot and delicious to your table ! I guess this is why you will be the only westerner on a Sunday eating delicious Dim-Sum with an otherwise largely Asian community…As usual a good sign ! Like quite a few chinese places the service can be a little rushed and "rough", I agree, but you will notice it is polite and efficient: empty dishes rapidly taken away from you, and your food served very hot on a plate. 541 likes 2 talking about this 5,413 were here. This decision by the university's governing body has since been reversed and in 2018, the university sponsored Pride Canterbury. In 2007, the university attracted publicity due to its controversial policy forbidding civil partnership ceremonies to take place at its properties. The inauguration of the university and the installation of Rowan Williams as chancellor took place in a ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral in December 2005. The Archbishop of Canterbury was later appointed, by virtue of office, as chancellor. The college was granted the university status in 2005, which recognised the successful delivery of degree programmes and adopted a new name, Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU). This form of the name was adopted to avoid confusion with Christ Church, Oxford (one of the Oxford University colleges) and University of Canterbury, in Christchurch, New Zealand. In 1995, the college was awarded the authority by the Privy Council to grant its own degrees for taught courses, upon which the college's name was changed to Canterbury Christ Church University College. In the late 1980s, the college was substantially enlarged by the addition of health studies and by 1988 the university had 1500 students. In 1976, the university launched its first non-teaching degree, a BA in Religious Studies. In 1968, the first-degree programme, the Bachelor of Education, was established as a one-year extension to the Certificate in Education. The founding principal was Frederic Mason. In the code above, if configChanges are defined with an orientations value and the save and restore methods in an activity simultaneously, it will prevent the activity from restarting when the screen rotates and changes direction. This means that the priority and importance of these features defined and inserted inside the tags related to the project manifest are more than the methods we defined above. It should be noted that these features that we defined have a higher priority than the methods that we defined for the project above. In the code above, inside the activity tag related to MainActivity, we defined a property called configChanges with the orientation value. The code that should be in the AndroidManifest.xml section is as follows: So, without using this and using the features inside the project manifest tags, we can apply settings displayed by rotating the recorded screen from where it left off, not from the beginning. In that case, we can make our desired settings without using these methods and using attribute properties inside the activity tags that are in the project manifest. ![]() But suppose we want to provide settings that do not restart when the recorded screen is playing. Such as when the recorded starts to show when it changes direction or exits the video from where it was before, not to go to the beginning of the recorded. Inside the onSaveInstanceState, we save the latest status of the recorded being played.Īs mentioned, the two methods onSaveInstanceState () and onRestoreInstanceState () are used at different times and can perform some tasks. The savedInstanceState is used to store the recorded being displayed, and the onRestoreInstanceState is used to retrieve data. That's why we need to provide settings that display the recorded from where it left off and not go to the beginning of the recorded.įor this we use the savedInstanceState () and onRestoreInstanceState () methods. In this case, if the user exits the activity or changes the position and direction of the screen from horizontal to vertical or vice versa, the recorded will be displayed from the beginning. It should be noted that if the user changes the position and direction of the phone while playing recorded, for example, from landscape to portrait mode or vice versa, he cannot save its mode and therefore plays the recorded again from the beginning. In this part of the tutorial, I use a listener to get an error when playing a recorded, which is called SetOnErrorListener. For example, it is impossible to rewind or advance the video being played or make other custom settings in the video being played using VideoView, which is why MediaController is used to set and apply custom settings for the video being played.ġ- In Android Studio, we create a new project and choose its name as desired. In other words, you cannot use VideoView if you want to adjust the settings for the video being played. Note that VideoView is responsible for displaying the video and can do nothing else. To make all the settings to be done after the whole video. This method, if defined, will be called after the end of the video. Os x mountain lion app4/24/2023 This is a new app built right into the OS itself. You can change something on your Mac and almost instantly, the change will happen to an open document in iOS as well. Again, very iOS-like.Īnd the editing process between Mountain Lion and iOS 5 is seamless. And you can create folders of documents simply by dragging one on top of another. In the Document Library, you’ll actually now see a realtime list of all your documents stored in iCloud sorted by application. With OS X Mountain Lion, the circle is complete as all documents in the iWork suite of apps will save this way as well. In iOS 5, apps like Pages take advantage of automatic saving to iCloud. One key addition is Documents in the Cloud. Actually, from the first screen in the setup assistant, you’ll now be asked to set up iCloud. With Mountain Lion, the connection is much deeper. But they were tacked on after the initial release. With Lion, iCloud had a number of points of integration. Much like they did with OS X Lion, Apple is focusing on ten key ones (though there are dozens of other changes).Īpple says there are now over 100 million iCloud accounts. To be fair, while Snow Leopard mainly focused on improvements in speed and size, Mountain Lion actually packs a bunch of new features. Instead, they view it as the next step towards a more unified Apple ecosystem. My sense is that the same is true here - and again, hence the naming - but Apple isn’t really positioning it that way. If you recall, Apple positioned it to be a smaller upgrade to OS X Leopard (10.5), hence the naming convention. The best way to think of OS X Mountain Lion may be to think back to OS X Snow Leopard (10.6). And the plan is to release the new OS sometime this coming summer. With that in mind, Apple will be releasing a developer preview of Mountain Lion today to Mac developers. To be clear, it’s not quite complete yet, but it’s already fairly polished. But given how quickly iOS development is moving, Apple wants to make sure OS X can keep up.įor the past week, I’ve been using an initial demo version of OS X Mountain Lion. Yes, Apple is already ready to show off the next version of OS X - technically 10.8 - just seven months after the last version was released.Īctually, it hasn’t even been a full seven months. Today, that transition continues with OS X Mountain Lion. With OS X Lion (aka OS X 10.7), the company started taking some of what they had learned from iOS, and the iPad specifically, and putting it in their more mature OS. On July 20 of last year, Apple began a journey. Join together mac4/24/2023 You can rotate, delete and reorder pages from the thumbnail section, too. If they do, there are magical items, such as the Helm of Comprehend Languages, that can completely overpower this feat and render it useless. It drastically depends on whether or not languages do play a role. But again, languages rarely play a role in most D&D campaigns. The three languages sound great and can be a lot of fun. For an odd number this could be worth it if the rest is seen as a bonus worth more than a +1 to another ability score improvement to you, but that’s situational.
